HOTEL

Sales & Events Executive

The Sales & Events Executive is responsible for converting enquiries into confirmed business across meetings, conferences, weddings, and private events, while ensuring a smooth handover to operations and delivering an excellent client experience from enquiry through to event delivery.

Sales & Enquiry Management

  • Qualify enquiries and proactively convert them into confirmed bookings.
  • Handle all incoming sales and event enquiries (phone, email, web, site visits).
  • Prepare and issue accurate proposals, contracts, and event confirmations.
  • Maximise revenue through upselling, add-ons, and tailored packages.
  • Conduct show rounds and site visits for prospective clients.
    Meet or exceed agreed monthly and annual sales targets.

Event Coordination & Administration

  • Coordinate event details from confirmation through to delivery.
  • Prepare function sheets / event orders with accurate timings, numbers, and requirements.
  • Liaise closely with operations, kitchen, bar, housekeeping, and finance teams.
  • Ensure deposits and payments are collected in line with terms and conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records in the PMS / events system.
  • Manage amendments, cancellations, and rebookings professionally.

Client Experience

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout their booking journey.
  • Build strong relationships with corporate clients, wedding couples, and event organisers.
  • Handle client queries and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure expectations are clearly set and delivered.

Sales Support & Business Development

  • Follow up on provisional bookings and lapsed enquiries.
  • Assist with promotional activity, open days, showcases, and familiarisation visits.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor activity and market trends.
  • Support wider commercial initiatives as required.

Systems & Compliance

  • Ensure all bookings comply with company policies and T&Cs.
  • Accurately update systems, reports, and sales trackers.
  • Work in line with GDPR and company data protection policies.

Essential

  • Previous experience in sales, events, hospitality, or customer-facing roles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident handling enquiries and closing sales.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with systems, emails, and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple bookings at once.

Desirable

  • Experience in hotel or venue sales and events.
  • Knowledge of PMS / events systems (e.g. Guestline, Opera, Event Temple).
  • Experience handling weddings or large-scale events.
  • Understanding of hospitality revenue and sales targets.
