The Marquee & Venue FAQs
Can we set up the ballroom the day before?
How many guests can we seat per table?
We suggest 8 is the most comfortable number. With a minimum of 6 and maximum of 10.
Are table decorations provided?
We offer packages which include table decorations. Please let us know if you're interested in our table decorations.
Can we put decorations on the ceiling drapes in the ballroom?
What is the maximum capacity?
Can we store decorations at the hotel the night before?
Facilities FAQs
Do we have access to the Wellness facilities?
Access to the wellness area can be added at reception for an additional £20.00 per person for 3 hours use of the facilities.
Do you do outside ceremonies?
Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate outdoor ceremonies. Ceremonies can take place in any of our licenced rooms.
Is there Parking on site?
Yes, we have up to 200 parking spaces free of charge.
Can you accommodate smaller weddings?
Yes, we can. We have our brand-new function room, Fairways, which would be perfect for these, plus our Upstairs Restaurant where the ceremony is able to take place. We can certainly build you a bespoke package for this also, depending on your requirements.
Do you supply master of ceremonies?
We usually suggest to our couples that it is a nice way to include people in their wedding day, however, we are happy to do this for you if you require it.
Do you allow smoke grenades?
Unfortunately, we don’t, due to the nature of the golf course and the grass.
Do you allow fireworks?
Yes, we do. We have a specific area by the marquee terrace area where you can watch the display. We need to know you're intending to have fireworks three months prior to your wedding to allow us time to prepare. You will need to organise a fireworks company to attend as this is not something we provide.
What do brides, grooms and guests think of the venue?

Staying At the Hotel FAQs
Can we stay in the apartments?
Of course! To stay in one of our 2- or 4-bedroom apartments, there is a minimum of a 2 nights stay for your guests. We also offer a special upgrade option from the Bridal Suite for the happy couple.
We are getting married at 1.30pm, will our guests be able to check into their bedrooms before our ceremony?
Unfortunately not, check in is at 3pm but we do have a limited number of rooms that we can agree an early check in at the additional cost of £30. Alternatively, should it be essential that your guests can access the room prior to this, we suggest they book a room the night before.
Do we have access to the gym?
Yes, gym access is included for any guests.
Do we get discount on Green Fees?
Yes, we can offer discounted rates on green fees. Please enquire with the Pro Shop for further details.
Do you have disabled access?
Yes, there are lifts on site, plus a full accessible wet room if required. The main entrance is accessible via a ramp and specially designated parking is available for blue badge holders.
Is there access for wheelchair users?
Yes, both the bar and restuarant are accessible through the lifts. Certain accommodation through the hotel is designed to be accessible for wheelchair users. Regrettably, the gym and and spa treatment rooms aren't accessible to wheelchair users.
Are guide dogs and assistance dogs welcome?
Yes, guides dogs and assistance dogs are welcome to attend the ceremony and day of the wedding.
Is there somewhere the bridal party can get ready on the day?
We do have additional rooms for hire (subject to availability). Another option would be to take advantage of our apartment upgrade and stay with us the night before.
Could there be more than one wedding or event on the same day?
Yes, there could be another wedding or event take place at the venue on the same day, but you would have exclusive use of your function room along with bar access.

Food & Drink Questions
Do you allow external catering?
Yes, we do. You can Dry Hire the venue with your own caterers, providing we receive their liability insurance and a copy of their PAT testing certificate.
Can we try the food beforehand?
Yes. We offer Menu Tastings at an additional charge for our three-course wedding breakfast, which would need to be booked well in advance. Please note we do not currently offer tastings for our canapés, hog roast or BBQ options.
Do we have use of any kitchen appliances?
Due to health and safety you will not have access to any microwaves or fridges on site.
When does the bar close?
The bar opening hours will be from the end of the ceremony to midnight, however we can arrange for you to have a late bar at an additional charge. We can serve until 2am Friday & Saturday and 1am Monday - Thursday or Sunday up to 12am.
Do you offer Champagne breakfast?
Yes, sparkling wine is available for a Champagne breakfast with Champagne available at extra cost.
